[NEWS] Borgore on His Dubstep Track With Miley

Posted by Lene | Sep 22 2012 | 0 comments
It took a little while for teen-Disney-star-turned-pop-monolith Miley Cyrus to move to the dark side (sonically, anyway), this summer it finally happened, thanks to dubstep. On August 20, Cyrus tweeted, “Yo, check out me & Borgore’s new track.” Though the song has been out for three months, this bitch tells us how much she loves cake, in “Decisions.”

Is this just another pop gimmick like Justin Bieber’s less-than-dub-tastic approach to EDM with “As Long As You Love Me”? From the looks of things, probably not. Not only keeping the artist formally known as Hannah Montana a secret from the press, but also having her sing on a dubstep track is impressive. Though Israel’s Borgore (born Asaf Borger) is not the most serious of recording artists, with remixes of Riskay’s infamous “Smell Yo Dick”, original mixes like trap-step anthem, “Flex” and triple x-rated, “Nympho”, this lad is quickly gaining respect in the wobble-zone of dubstep’s finest. Recently we sat down with him to discuss the song that opposed to most EDM acts these days including David Guetta and Calvin Harris, who have featured pop acts like, Rhianna, Ne-yo and Usher, Borgore chose to hide the fact that Cyrus was on the track. Doing this humble karma deed, did not saturate his name or, “Decisions,” as just another American EDM marketing plot.

In a cut filled with wubs, screeches, claps and Borgore’s lackadaisical approach to rap, Miley took a back seat roll so to speak. Instead, she harmonizes with Borgore in an infectious hook singing, “Decisions, but I want it all. So I get it all. I wanna eat the whole cake. I’m not sharing, I’m not sharing. You should have learned how to bake.”

Using his trapified nympho flow. ‘gore said, “I’m not going to sing about what I don’t do, I’m not selling drugs, so I’m not going to sing about selling drugs. I’m not a gangster, so I’m not going to sing like I’m a fucking gangster. I’m fucking all these chicks, that’s what I’m going to sing about.” Borgore says getting Cyrus on the track was just a matter of reaching out to her once through his manager.

Though he declined to comment about Miley’s wild side, does this mean the man who claims he “ruined dubstep,” also put a damper on Cyrus’ career? — I think not. Does anyone remember “Party in the USA”? If pictures haven’t proved enough, this former tween idol, is now all grown up, in all of dubstep’s glory now. This Israeli bass head liked working with her so much, they began working on the music video on Wednesday, and is promised to be filled with surprises. We’re assuming their will be some big-ass cakes involved, stripper poles and, of course, bitches.

Borgore will be hitting the road not serving up ice cream, cake or even stripper poles. While dropping bass, ‘gore said he hopes to play on the smallest stages, while having his fans as close as possible on his Bakery Tour. He will be making a stop at Ten Nightclub, in Newport Beach on September 23.

Miley Cyrus and Miranda Cosgrove are two of the big named celebrities in the latest video from Rock the Vote. Hoping to encourage the youth to engage in the political process by incorporating the Hollywood’s younger stars, the video released on Wednesday has plenty of famous faces reminding everyone of their obligation to be part of the political process. The theme of the commercial is about unity and making voices heard.

Looking to get voters to the voting booths, the entertainers definitely aren’t sharing their political affiliation nor is there any type of pressure to do more than be involved. [NEWS] Why Pink Approves of Miley’s Hairstyle

Posted by Lene | Sep 19 2012 | 0 comments
When Miley Cyrus and Pink showed up to the MTV Video Music Awards sporting similar hairstyles, the claws came out … among fans. But as it turns out, Pink is flattered that Cyrus is trying something new — and wishes other women would follow suit.

“Everyone has long, brown hair,” Pink said Tuesday morning during an appearance on Today. “When two girls get fearless and shave their heads, it’s a big deal. I think we’re just a little more daring.”

When asked how it felt to have Miley “steal” her look, Pink replied that she’s actually a fan of the young pop star.

“I think she’s beautiful,” she said. And as for the hair, “I think she rocks it way harder than I do.”

[NEWS] Alessandra Guercio climbs with Miley hit

Posted by Lene | Sep 19 2012 | 0 comments

Alessandra Guercio climbed an uphill battle during a blind audition on “The Voice” Monday.

Performing “The Climb,” by Miley Cyrus, Guercio won over the panel of coaches and surprised many when she revealed that she was just seventeen.

“It was very refined for your age,” said Adam Levine. “Fantastic job. Pick me.”

Cee Lo Green was also impressed with her range and vocal talent.

“Great vocal performance,” said Green. “Like, awesome.”

While both Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green enjoyed Alessandra Guercio’s vocal prowess, Christina Aguilera thought it was too sweet.

“I could tell it was very controlled, but it was just a little too sweet for me,” said Aguilera.

Taking in commentary from each coach, Alessandra Guercio had a choice to make. Mulling it over with her family cheering on backstage, she opted to join Adam Levine’s team.

Alessandra Guercio will continue on to the next round of the competition.

[GET THE LOOK] Recreate Miley’s MTV VMA Makeup

Posted by Lene | Sep 19 2012 | 0 comments
The former Disney star Miley Cyrus was more Cruella de Vil than Hannah Montana in a dramatic gown by Emilio Pucci, jagged jewelry, and a fresh complexion accented by sharp brows and dramatic eyes. Her gorgeous bleached blonde hair was spiked high, just like her her long theatrical lashes. Celebrity makeup artist Denika Bedrossian shares with the details on how to achieve this high-voltage but low-maintenance look!

“Miley and I wanted to pair something fresh and edgy to compliment her new look. For the eyes, I wanted a subtle winged liner which I created using MAC Fluidline in Dark Diversion to enhance her vibrant almond shaped eyes. Then, we decided to do a no-shadow look and applied a hint of Vaseline on the eyelid to give a dewy and slick finish. We topped her eye look off with Make Up For Ever outer lashes. I added MAC Color Cream in Pearl as a highlighter around the eyes and on top of the nose. To finish off the look, I applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in Coral on Miley’s lips for a pop of color.”
